June 14, 1942 - December 31, 2020 Cecelia E. Soleski Jack, 78, of Derby passed away peacefully on Dec. 31, 2020 at home with her loving husband Howard of 41 years by her side. She was born in New Haven on Flag Day, June 14, 1942, a daughter of the late Henry J. and Cecelia Keane Soleski. Cecelia worked for Yale University for 32 years in the General Accounting Department prior to her retirement. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her dear sister Kathryn Soleski of East Haven and her loving brothers John Soleski of East Haven and Henry (Dr. Carol Maloney) Soleski of North Haven. Also survived by a sister-in-law Donna Jack of Bethel and nephews David (Wendy) Jack and Donald (Kelly) Jack. Cecelia loved to bake during the holidays and was an active member of the Derby Senior Center for many years and enjoyed going on their bus trips. She also enjoyed spending long weekends in New Hampshire. Cecelia was a parishione­r of St. Stanislaus Church and attended St. Stanislaus Grammar School. She was a member of Ladies Social Club at St. Stanislaus Church and was an active member of The Stratford

United Methodist Church where Howard worshiped.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Stanislaus Church Saturday morning at 10. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Masks and social distancing are required for all services. There will be no calling hours. The Lupinski Funeral Home, Inc., 821 State Street, New Haven is in care of arrangemen­ts. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made to St. Stanislaus Church, 9 Eld Street, New Haven, CT 06511. Due to COVID-19, there will be a celebratio­n of her life at a later date.
