Florence, born Florence Albina Odette, was raised in Monroe, CT. She lived for many years in Shelton, CT, then Ansonia and Naugatuck before moving to Myrtle Beach, SC where she lived with her daughter and sonin-law Brenda and Bruce

Florence (Flo) worked for 47 years at the Stop & Shop Supermarket in Ansonia, CT. “Flo”, was a well-known fixture in the Valley and well-loved and respected by all. Flo loved to travel especially to the West coast and desert locations. San

Diego was one of her favorite destinations. Flo’s pride and joy were her grandchildren. Many of her vacations out west were spent with one grandchild or another. Many of her children’s friends referred to Flo as “Ma”, since she was a second mother to many. Flo was a great listener and always had an ear to lend. One of Flo’s favorite sayings was “I’m just giving you good advice”. One of Flo’s favorite companions was her cat Lola who kept her company for the last 8+ years.
