Hello, Hinkle: UConn concludes a stretch of five straight road games — the program’s longest since 1980 — with its inaugural trip to historic Hinkle Fieldhouse. Built in 1928, the building was the scene for the state championship game in the 1986 film “Hoosiers” and has been designated a National Historic Landmark.

“Everybody raves about Hinkle Fieldhouse and I haven’t been in it,” UConn coach Geno Auriemma said. “I’m anxious to go.”

Auriemma joked that he should have his team watch “Hoosiers” beforehand.

The Huskies won the first-ever meeting between the programs last month, 103-35.

Moving on up: Paige Bueckers has 116 assists, and is eight away from breaking UConn’s single-season record for freshmen shared by Pam Webber and Renee Montgomery.

The struggle is real: Butler has had its problems offensively. The Bulldogs are 314th in the country in scoring (54.6) and 309th in field goal percentage (35.3). And they haven’t fared much better on the other end of the floor, where they rank 321st in scoring defense (75.8).

Add it up and you have the makings of a 2-15 team.

Hitting 20: The Huskies’ next win will give them 20 for the 28th consecutive season and 32nd time in 36 seasons under Auriemma.
