Jennie T. Faiella

Jennie T. Faiella, age 94 of Bridgeport, CT, passed away on March 7, 2021 in her home. She was the wife of the late Philip P. Faiella.

Jennie was born in Bridgeport on November 30, 1926 to the late Dominic and Rose Parrella. Jennie worked for Bridgeport Insulated Wire for over 30 years. She enjoyed bingo and cooking, and she was especially praised for her meatballs. Family gatherings were very important to her, with food and stories, and her signature, contagious laugh. She will be missed by all those who loved her.

Jennie is survived by four children, M. Anthony Melito and his wife, Jeannie, Susan Melito and her husband, Michael, Robert Bonanzio and his wife, Laurie, and Gary Melito; son-in-law Michael Chormanski; two very special cousins and best friends, Susan Parrella and Elena Luciuk; 10 grandchildren; 6 greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Philip, Jennie was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Melito Chormanski; brother, Peter Parrella; and sisters, Connie Rainieri, Mary Bottone, Louise Samsel, Grace Arsenault, and Rose Balascak.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Tiana Soto, Jennie’s longtime caregiver and friend, and to the staff of Marcee Home Care Agency for the excellent care given to Jennie.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. directly at St. James RC Church, 2070 Main Street, Stratford. All other services are private.
