Geraldine J. Sullivan

-

Geraldine J. Sullivan entered into eternal peace on Saturday, September 11, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was 78 years old. Daughter of Joseph P. DeLuca & Jennie DeLuca, Geraldine graduated from Bullard-Havens as an LPN and retired from SVMC as a Critical Care & Respiratory Nurse of over 39 years. Geraldine, known to her friends & family as “Gerry,” was a loving person. She lived for her family and loved to spoil her fur babies. Gerry loved getting together for dinners, birthdays, picnics and holidays. Gerry loved her home. Christmas time was her favorite holiday. She enjoyed decorating for Christmas, inside as well as outside. And the rest of the year, every flower box, hanging basket and flower bed would explode with flowers from spring to fall. And regardless of the time of year, there would always be a pot of soup on the stove, a roast in the oven or pasta sauce in the crockpot. Gerry would spend hours knitting blankets and scarfs for her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. She was part of a bowling league and liked to go bowling either on a team or a family night out. She enjoyed day trips shopping and going out to eat. She also enjoyed going to shows & musicals. In addition to her husband, William Sullivan, Sr., of Fairfield, Gerry is also survived by her daughter, Corene Sullivan & fiancé, Joseph Koutrakos, and grandchildren Pierceson and Daylin, of Ansonia; her daughter, Buffy Sullivan Barry, and grandchildren Zachary and Sean Barry, of Fairfield; her son and daughter-in-law, William

Sullivan, Jr. and Alisa Sullivan, and grandson, Aaron, of Derby; her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Rodney Bodnar, of Fairfield; her niece, Joy Bodnar, of Fairfield; her nephew and niece-in-law, Michael and Courtney Bodnar; as well as her great nephew Abram, and great nieces, Elna and Isla. Gerry is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Jennie DeLuca. Friends and family are invited for visitation on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 9:3010:30am at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
