Cynthia Placko

Cynthia A. Placko, age 68, of Fairfield, the loving wife of Kenneth Placko for over 38 years, passed away at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. She was born in Bridgeport and was a graduate of Fairfield Warde High School, Class of 1971 and the Butler Business School. Prior to her retirement five years ago, she worked for the Town of Fairfield in the Finance Dept .and also at the Fairfield Credit Union and the Fairfield Parking Authority.

Cindy loved to read and garden and loved being outdoors at her cabin in Vermont. One of her great joys was traveling throughout the U.S. and seeing the National Parks.

In addition to her husband, Cindy is survived by her two sons: Keith C. Placko and his partner Jennifer Chamberlain of Fairfield and Kyle P. Placko and his wife, Kristen of Newtown; her three cherished granddaughters, Lucy, Hayden and Chloe; her mother, Sally Rowe of Fairfield; her two sisters, Allison Rowe and her partner, Ed Edgar of Bethlehem and Wendy Rowe of Trumbull; and her two brothers, William Rowe and his partner, Elizabeth Mann of Easton and David Rowe of Newtown. She is also survived by her niece, Emily Edgar.

Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield. Visitation will take place from noon until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service.
