Veronica (Vera) Malesky R.N. , loving mother and grandmothe­r passed away peacefully on October 14, 2021. She was born in Danbury, Connecticu­t on April 25, 1925. She was the daughter of the late George & Anna Koske Dzamko. She was the wife of the late George F. Malesky. She was predecease­d by her daughter Donna Jean.

Vera graduated from St. Peter’s School and Danbury High School. She graduated in 1947 from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing through the Nurse Cadet Program – WWII. She was a nursing supervisor until her retirement in 1990.

Vera enjoyed crocheting, reading, bingo & traveling. (including trips to the casino) But, most of all her visits from family. She loved them unconditio­nally.

Survivors include her sons, Paul Malesky, George Malesky and his wife Laura, her daughters Anne Rose & Lynn Carrero; and her grandchild­ren, Nicholas & Danielle Carrero and Carly, Tessa & Georgia Malesky.

She was the last of eight children. She was predecease­d by her sisters, Margaret Thorne, Ann Culley, Mary Emr, Irene Renda & Dolores McGee; and her brothers Thomas & George Dzamko and by numerous nieces & nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Monday (10/18) at 10:15 a.m. at Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull and at 11:00 am at St. Theresa’s Church, 5301 Main St. Trumbull, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday, (10/17), from 4 -7 p.m. at the funeral home. (Masks are required).
