John Milardo, Xavier: With 4:29 left in the game, Milardo scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over Hand, keeping Xavier unbeaten atop the SCC standings at 13-0-2.
Michael Riley, St Luke’s: Riley scored two goals against GFA in a 2-2 tie. He now has 11 goals in 11 games.
Justin Zemo, Newtown: Zemo scored 3 goals, all in the first half, during a 3-0 win against Masuk. He then scored two goals on the road in a 3-1 win at Notre Dame-Fairfield
Maximo Acosta and Alejandro Rodriguez, Greenwich: The seniors scored two goals apiece as Greenwich rolled over Wilton 7-0. The Cardinals are unbeaten in their last 10 games.
Matt Cence, Farmington: Cence scored a hat trick in a CCC win over Southington.
Colin Brown, Cheshire: Brown tied the game 1-1 with 25 seconds remaining in the regular-season finale against Hand.
Ali Taleb, Glastonbury: The senior found the back of the net 3 times as the Guardians scored a season-high 9 goals in a 9-1 victory over Bristol Eastern.
Syed Messim, Oxford: Messim scored twice to lead the Oxford to a 4-1 victory over NVL rival Torrington.
Drew Monteserin, South Windsor: South Windsor beat Tolland 2-1 with two goals from Monteserin.
GAMES TO WATCH
Warde at No. 10 Darien, Wednesday, 5:30 p.m.: The winner stays in the top 8 of Class LL, the loser likely does not. Both teams have already qualified for the FCIAC Tournament.
Ellington at No. 1 Xavier, Wednesday, 6 p.m.: Ellington drops in from the NCCC to take a shot at handing Xavier its first loss. If nothing else, Ellington gets an incredible warm-up game entering the Class M tournament facing the top team in Class LL.
No. 7 Norwalk at Trumbull, Wednesday, 6 p.m.: Trumbull needs to win to have any hope of getting into the FCIAC tournament. Norwalk is one point behind Greenwich for the FCIAC regular season crown.
Watertown at Holy Cross, Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.: First place in the NVL on the line as Watertown enters the week with one loss and Holy Cross comes in unbeaten.
Nonnewaug at Litchfield, Friday 3:45 p.m.: Nonnewaug is three games away from an unbeaten season, standing in its way is the No. 2 team in the Berkshire League in Litchfield.
No. 4 Stonington at No. 7 Ledyard, Friday 6 p.m.: Stonington’s one loss this season? vs Ledyard on opening day. Now the two ECC rivals close the regular season with the highlyanticipated rematch.
