Anne Marie C. Dellamarggio

Anne Marie C. Dellamarggio, age 58, of Milford, passed away on October 27, 2021, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Anne Marie was born in Bridgeport on July 4, 1963, beloved daughter of Donald and Maryann (Pulaski) Nelson and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Bunnell High School class of 1981 and earned a BA from Western Connecticut State University and a master’s of education from the University of Bridgeport. Anne was an accomplished teacher for twenty plus years and most recently taught at Fairfield Ludlowe Middle School. She leaves to cherish her memory, loving parents, beloved children, Elyse and Thomas, her sister, Debbi Tyrrel of Milford, and brothers, Don Nelson Jr. and Jeffrey Nelson, former husband, Joe Dellamarggio, nieces and nephews: Rachael, Jeffrey, Adam, Jake, Taylor, Emily, Ryan, and Drew, cousins, and countless friends. Anne cherished her time with family and friends, she had a wonderful presence, people just wanted to be near her. Anne was always very active, she was an engaged member at Fayerweather Yacht Club, she enjoyed gathering with loved ones over good food and a glass of wine, loved a good book and warm cup of tea. Yoga and walks on the beach brought her great peace and joy. Friends and family may visit on Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. Masks are required, as visitors walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 5th at 11:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Mary’s- Precious Blood Parish 70 Gulf Street Milford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make a donation in memory of Anne Marie to St. Jude Children’s hospital or the American Cancer Society.
