How to watch UConn on the digital service FloHoops

Want to watch UConn face Minnesota in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament Saturday?

You’ll need to visit the streaming subscription site FloHoops, which is carrying UConn’s first two games from the Bahamas. Fans accustomed to watching UConn games on SNY or other cable networks will get a break Monday — the tournament’s championship game is on ESPN2 while the consolation game is on ESPNU.

But to watch Geno Auriemma’s team this weekend, you’ll need to download the FloHoops app on your smart TV or mobile device if you have cable TV. You can also watch the game on the FloHoops website on your computer.

If you don’t have a FloSports account — the UConn-UMass football game on available on FloFootball last month, so a segment of UConn fans may have an account — you’ll need to visit Flosports.tv or FloHoops.com to create a new account or log in. Viewers can log in with an email address or via a Facebook account and users will be prompted to select a subscription option.

FloSports offer two pricing options: $150 per year, which is the discounted rate at $12.50 a month. The other option is $29.99 per month.

These are the only UConn basketball games — men’s or women’s — available on FloSports, but the Big East has an agreement with the digital service. FloSports is covering Big East sports throughout the 2021-22 academic year, so UConn fans may consider a long-term commitment.

In fact, FloSports offers more than 25 sports and over 200,000 events per year. The Texas-based service, created in 2006, will have 225 Big East events — a recent addition to its growing stable of conferences and events.

The Big East deal includes an emphasis on women’s basketball, offering 75 games this season. There’s an opportunity for UConn fans to see future opponents.

UConn, though, has its own media rights package with SNY for women’s basketball. UConn will also have games on Fox, CBS Sports Network, Fox Sports, ABC, and the ESPN networks. SNY is available in Connecticut through AT&T Now, Optimum, Spectrum, Cox, Xfinity, DirecTV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo TV, YouTube TV, and Verizon FiOS.

SNY is also available at SNY.tv through the NBC Sports app for those in market (Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania are in market for the network). Out of market fans can access SNY through the Fox Sports app as long as Fox is offered through your cable TV package.
