Josephine Ferraro

-

Josephine Ferraro, age 85, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, November 28, 2021. She was born on December 12, 1935 in Philadelphia to two loving, first generation, Italian parents. Her childhood summers were spent in Ocean City, NJ at her family home where she split time between the beach and on the water in her family’s boat. Being from Philadelphia, she was an avid fan of the local sports teams, particularly the Philadelphia Phillies. She was a loyal fan through all the highs and lows and never missed a game.

Throughout her life, Jo loved spending time outside and tending to her beautiful garden of hydrangeas, Lilies of the Valley and peonies. She adored the local wildlife that frequented her backyard and didn’t mind when they occasionally made a meal of her herbs.

Jo also loved her family pets. She was the loving mother to Yorkshire Terriers, Ellie, Kate, Jessie and Lucy, and her Love Bird, Jake, who she rescued from her backyard pool. She also spent much of her time volunteering at the Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals in Radnor.

Above all, Jo loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed celebrating birthdays and holidays throughout the year and made sure to decorate her house for every occasion.

Jo will be dearly missed and forever loved. She is survived by her three children, Beth Relick Wright, Debra Relick Pusak, and Scott Relick; her loving grandchildren; and her Yorkie, Ellie.

Friends are invited to greet her family on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fairfield, and all are invited to attend. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, directly across the street from 199 Matsonford Road in Conshohocken, PA later in the day, between 2:00-2:30 p.m.
