Annette Woodrow O’Neill

Annette Woodrow O'Neill, 82, of Bridgeport, CT, beloved wife of Joseph O'Neill Jr. of 59 years, entered into eternal rest on June 19, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 18, 1940 in Stirling, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Sarah (Downie) Woodrow and immigrated to the U.S in 1958 as a nanny.

Annette was a homemaker and mom for many years before becoming a realtor in 1978. She was a woman of great faith and a long-time parishione­r of St. Patrick Church, as well as a faithful member of Mother of Perpetual Help Women's Guild, Prayer Shawl Ministry, and Morning Prayer Group. She loved baking, knitting, the Yankees and Manchester City Football Club. She was a dedicated sister, wife, mother and grandmothe­r who dedicated her life to caring for the family, Annette will be greatly missed.

Additional­ly survived by her loving children, Catherine Braisted and her husband Eric of Shelton, Karen Cross and her husband John of Trumbull, Kevin O'Neill and his partner Kristina Abbati of Bridgeport, and Christine Reichenbac­h and her husband Carl of Southbury; her loving sister, Sandra McCarry of Tullibody, Scotland; and grandchild­ren David Duprey, Sarah (Steven) Vereb, John II, Joseph Grant, and Caroline Cross, Cameron and Henry Reichenbac­h, Nicole Abbati; and a great-grandson, Dempsey Duprey. She also leaves many additional family members and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 24, 2022 at 10AM at St. Patrick's Church, 851 North Ave, Bridgeport, CT. Please meet directly at the church. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Ave., Bridgeport. In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons may be made to The Cathedral Parish, 170 Thompson St, Bridgeport, CT 06604 or St. Catherine Academy, 760 Tahmore Dr., Fairfield, CT.
