Kathleen Dillon

Kathleen A. Dillon, age 83, of Bridgeport passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Wesley Heights in Shelton. She was the widow of Raymond Dillon Sr.

Born in Newburgh, New York on November 28, 1938 she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Irene McDowell Ruff. Kate was an excellent gardener and took great pride in the appearance of her yard. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, and cooked monthly meals so that everyone could get together. Kate also enjoyed a bit of gambling and spending the fall and winter in Florida.

Kathleen is survived by her children, Raymond Dillon Jr. (Cynthia) of Stratford, Debra Daniels (Chet) of Stratford, Donna Loughman of Trumbull and James Dillon of Orlando, FL; her grandchildren Candice Bartley, Thomas, Meghan and Kerrigan Loughman, Whitney, Nicole and Alyssa Daniels; great-grandchildren Ava Daniels, Raegan and Riley Bartley and Hailey and Olivia Arroyo; her brother Richard Ruff of Shelton and Jean Stone of Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She will be missed terribly by her dog Carly, who Kate adored more than words can express. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond of 54 years, her son-in-law Thomas Loughman, her brothers Robert, Kenneth and Donald Ruff and sisters Laraine Korponay and Janice Laskay.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Dennis & D’Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford, CT 06615. Interment will immediately follow at Union Cemetery, Stratford.
