Brien J. McFadden, age 66, from Palm City, FL, formerly of Fairfield, passed away peacefully at home on January 4th, after a long battle with cancer.

Brien grew up in Fairfield, CT where he attended grammar school at St. Thomas Aquinas and high school at Roger Ludlowe, class of 1974. He worked for Sikorsky Aircraft as a Flight Technician, retiring after 40 years.

He loved the Beatles and the Grateful Dead. If the music wasn’t playing, then the Andy Griffith Show was on TV. He was “Pappy” to his 6-year-old grandson, Killian, whom he adored. He was a Buffalo Bills fan and his Hess truck and Dopey collection­s will live on.

Brien is survived by his loving wife, Katie, daughter Casey McFadden and grandson, Killian Licari, from Palm City, and daughter Riley McFadden from Tampa, FL. He is also survived by a sister, Cheryl McGuffie, from Monroe, CT, as well, as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the son of the late William and Marlee McFadden of Fairfield, CT and Nettles Island, FL. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne McFadden.

Friends may visit his family on January 27th, Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Larson Funeral Home, Preplannin­g & Cremation Services (NOW LOCATED AT), 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on January 28th, Saturday at 10 a.m. in Saint Thomas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield, with his interment to follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
