Anderson, Hand capture crowns

Brooke Anderson won three events and the all-around to lead the Hand gymnastics team to the SCC championsh­ip Thursday.

It was the 21st SCC championsh­ip for Hand in gymnastics, and the first for the Tigers since 2018.

Anderson, named the Championsh­ip Meet’s Most Outstandin­g Performer, won the vault (9.3), bars (8.9) and floor (9.05) as well as the allaround with a score of 36.5. She also finished second on beam (9.3) behind the SCC record-setting performanc­e of Law’s Natalie Morrell (9.6).

Hand’s Morgan Flickinger placed second in the all-around at 35.6 with Morell finishing third. 127.35; 63.95
