Diane C. (Bednarek) Coleman, age 76, entered peaceful rest on February 14, 2023, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was the beloved wife of the late Jon J. Coleman. Diane was born in Germany on February 21, 1946, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Dzikowicz Bednarek. A resident of Seymour, Diane was employed for over twenty years as a paralegal for Bennett and Walsh Attorneys in Ansonia, until her retirement. A devout communican­t of Good Shepherd Church in Seymour, she was a member of their Rosary group. Diane enjoyed gardening and tending to her blueberry patch and fig trees in her backyard. She also loved listening to the waterfall in her beautiful Koi Pond. Diane liked attending plays at Center Stage Theater in Shelton and had an affinity for art. She always watched the UCONN women play basketball and enjoyed going to the Final Four championsh­ip games. Diane leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Shawn P. Burke of Seymour, a brother, Benjamin Bednarek of Arizona,

sisters, Ursula Vicari of Vermont, Jean Dasakis of New York, and Margaret T. Pantaleo (Richard) of Bethany along with several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Monday morning, her funeral will begin at 9:15 am from the funeral home and proceed to the Church of the Good Shepherd (St. Nicholas Parish), 135 Mountain Road in Seymour for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.
