Mary Medika

Mary M. Medika, age 90 of Stratford, loving wife of the late Richard Medika passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2023. She was the daughter of the late John and Alice Hannan Dwyer. Born in Bridgeport, Mary was a proud resident for 83 years before moving to Stratford. Mary worked as an assembler for Casco Product for 45 years and was also a union steward, and union president until her retirement.

Her daughter and grandson were her world and main priority in life. She greatly cherished the time spent with her grandson. She also enjoyed going out to eat and traveling. She will be greatly missed by her family who was of utmost importance to her and was loved by all who knew her.

Mary leaves behind her loving daughter Debbi Sabia (Bob) of Stratford, along with her cherished grandson Robert. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother John Dwyer, and sister and brother-in-law Alice and Fred Mott.

The family wishes to thank the incredible staff at Mozaic Senior Services, Freidman House, and in particular, Camille and Bella for their loving manner as well as Tiana, her home aide for all of her love and support.

Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St., Bridgeport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 16th at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Church Stratford, followed by interment in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton.
