Beryl Swire Novitch passed away on Nov. 9th in West Palm Beach, FL at the age of 86 after a nine-year battle with Alzheimer’s. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Howard, and her three sons Michael, Lawrence, and Peter. She was born in Bridgeport, Connecticu­t to Esther and Max Swire. The family located to Orange, Connecticu­t where they lived for 45 years.

Beryl graduated from the University of New Haven and received a master’s degree in forensic science. Beryl worked for the Connecticu­t State Police in forensics lab with Dr. Henry Lee for 2 decades.

After retirement, Beryl volunteere­d at the Orange Public Library and Books for the Blind. She was an active member of the Congregati­on Or Shalom Synagogue. Beryl’s last years were spent as a resident of MorseLife Memory Care unit, West Palm Beach, FL.

Funeral Services will be held at Cong. Or Shalom, 205 Old Grassy Hill Rd.,
