Wallpaper comes in many gorgeous designs

and can be ideal not only for enhancing whole walls but as a DIY material too. Chasing Paper takes it a step further with peel-and-stick wallpapers, which are perfect for crafting, whether with large or small pieces. Here are a few ideas to start your own DIY project with wallpaper.

Dresser Do-Over

What You’ll Need: • Dresser

• Tape measure and pencil • Wallpaper of choice

What You’ll Do:

1. Measure the dimensions of the drawer fronts. You can either cover the whole front of the drawers, or leave some of the wood uncovered like the dresser here.

2. Cut pieces of wallpaper to size, peel off the back and affix each piece to a drawer front.

3. Starting in the middle, use a ruler or another flat-edged object to flatten the wallpaper to the drawer front and eliminate any air bubbles.

Creative Clipboards

What You’ll Need: • Clipboards

• Ruler and pencil

• Wallpaper of choice (used here: Kelly Ventura collection) • Craft or X-Acto knife

What You’ll Do: 1. Measure the back of the clipboards, and cut the wallpaper to match.

2. Starting at the bottom of the clipboard, affix the wallpaper to the board, working your way upward. When you get to the clip, roll the wallpaper underneath.

3. For the brackets, use a craft knife to carefully trim the wallpaper around the metal, so it fits as tightly as possible.

Step It Up

What You’ll Need: • Stepping stool of choice

• Furniture paint of choice

• Ruler, pencil and scissors

• Complementary wallpaper (used here: Chasing Paper Speckle

in royal blue) What You’ll Do: 1. Paint the stool in the color of your choice, and let it dry.

2. Measure the step(s) and cut two pieces of wallpaper to size.

3. Peel off the back of the wallpaper and set it down in place. Use the ruler to smooth out the wallpaper from the middle to reduce any air bubbles, and flatten down the edges. If you don’t get the paper straight on your first try, simply pull it up and reposition it.
