A Massachusetts couple raise the roof on a ranch home to create a two-story Colonial that glows bright with holiday spirit, from its Christmas red exterior to the lavishly decorated trees throughout the interior.

Left: The black hutch in the dining room beautifully sets off a group of collectible Santas, with pewter, holiday dishes and bottle-brush trees adding depth to the display. Below: The stairway offers a perfect nook for the antique commode and sled. The 20-foot-high wall features a mural painted by a family friend who was inspired by the work of 1800s muralist Rufus Porter.
