Wrap a sweet secret message around an old sewing bobbin.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Empty wooden spool 20-in. piece of fabric Ribbon or twine
Washi tape, optional Decorative embellishment,
optional
Letter stamps
Ink pad
Glue gun
Hole punch
DIRECTIONS
Measure the width of the spool. Cut a strip of fabric the same width and
20 in. long, cutting it shorter depending on the length of the message you’ve chosen.
Stamp a message on one side of the fabric, using letter stamps. Glue the end of the fabric strip to the spool so that the message faces into the spool. Add a piece of decorative washi tape to cover the glued end, if desired.
Roll the fabric around the spool. Punch a hole at the end of the strip. Cut a piece of ribbon or twine 16 in. long. Double the twine and thread the folded end through the hole. Loop the twine through itself to secure it in the hole. Wrap one loose end of twine one way and the other piece the opposite way around the spool until they meet back at the hole. Tie ends in a bow to secure. If desired, glue a decorative embellishment to the end of the fabric, near the bow.
