ring, sc around ring (see illustrati­on), work 66 sc around ring,

join (see Pattern Notes) in beg sc. (67 sc)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same sc as beg ch-1, [ch 8, sk next 8 sc, sc in next sc] 3 times, ch 14, sl st in 8th ch from hook, ch 6, sk next 11 sc, sc in next sc, [ch 8, sk next 8 sc, sc in next sc] 3 times, ch 10, sl st in 10th ch from hook. Rnd 3: Sl st in next sc, [(5 sc,

picot— see Special Stitch, 5 sc) in next ch-8 sp, sl st in next sc] 3 times, 8 sc in next ch-6 sp, (4 sc, picot, 4 sc) in next ch sp at point, sl st across base of ch sp to close lp, 8 sc in next ch-6 sp, sl st in next sc [(5 sc, picot, 5 sc) in next ch-8 sp, sl st in next sc] 3 times, 12 sc in next ch-10 sp, join in beg sl st. Fasten off.

FINISHING

Steam-block pendant and dry overnight. Using photo as a guide, secure charm to inside of pendant circle with thread and embroidery needle, forming small lp from side to side. With pliers attach 6mm jump ring to center (12-sc lp) at top of pendant. Attach each end of satin cord to inside of cord crimps with a small dab of craft glue. Let dry and then fold over crimp ends with pliers to secure. Thread pendant on cord. Attach necklace clasp to each end of cord using 3mm jump rings. Fasten off.
