FINISHED MEASUREMEN­TS 52 inches wide x 54 inches long MATERIALS • Red Heart Super Saver medium (worsted) weight acrylic yarn (solids: 7 oz/ 364 yds/198g; multis: 5 oz/ 236 yds/141g per skein): 4 skeins #3939 blacklight 3 skeins #718 shocking pink 2 skeins #324 bright yellow • Size I/9/5.5mm crochet hook or

size needed to obtain gauge • Yarn needle GAUGE Hexagon Motif = 7 inches wide x 8 inches across; 9 dc of rnd 5 = 2 inches

PATTERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise indicated.

SPECIAL STITCHES

Beginning popcorn (beg pc):

Ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), 3 dc in indicated st or sp, draw up a lp, remove hook, insert hook in 3rd ch of beg ch-3, pick up dropped lp, draw through st on hook.

Popcorn (pc): 4 dc in indicated st or sp, draw up a lp, remove hook, insert hook in first dc of 4-dc group, pick up dropped lp, draw through st on hook. Beginning shell (beg shell): (Ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in indicated st or sp.

Shell: (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in indicated st or sp. V-stitch (V-st): (Dc, ch 2, dc) in indicated st or sp.

THROW HEXAGON MOTIF

Make 44.

Rnd 1 (RS): Wrap yellow twice around 3 fingers, insert hook in center of ring and draw up a lp, beg pc (see Special Stitches) in ring, ch 2, ( pc— see Special

Stitches, ch 2) 5 times in ring, tug on beg length of wrap to close opening as tightly as possible,

join (see Pattern Notes) in beg pc. Fasten off. (6 pcs, 6 ch-2 sps)

Rnd 2: Join blacklight in any ch-2 sp, beg shell (see Special Stitches) in same ch-2 sp, shell

(see Special Stitches) in each rem ch-2 sp around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. (6 shells)

Rnd 3: Sl st in ch-2 sp of shell, beg shell in same ch-2 sp, sk next 3 dc, V-st (see Special

Stitches) in sp between shells, [shell in next ch-2 sp of shell, sk next 3 dc, V-st in sp between shells] around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. (6 shells, 6 V-sts)

Rnd 4: Sl st in ch-2 sp of shell, beg shell in same ch-2 sp, ch 1, V-st in next ch-2 sp of V-st, ch 1, [shell in next ch-2 sp of shell, ch 1, V-st in next ch-2 sp of V-st, ch 1] around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. Fasten off. Fasten off.
