Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Hold 2 strands of yarn together unless otherwise stated. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated. At beginning of next Pillow Pocket, work into unworked loops of last row and not into slip stitches of Joining Seams. Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.

SPECIAL STITCH

Single crochet join (sc join): Place a slip knot on hook, insert hook in indicated st, yo and draw up a lp, yo and pull through both lps on hook.

Row 10: Ch 1, [sc in next st, dc in next st] across to ch-3 buttonhole, dc in first ch, sc in next ch, dc in last ch, sc in next st, dc in next st, turn. (74 sts) Rows 11–18: Rep row 2 of Back. Rows 19 & 20: Rep rows 9 and 10. Rows 21–30: Rep rows 11–20. Rows 31–38: Rep row 2 of Back. Do not fasten off after row 38.

Joining Seam

With WS of Front and Back held tog and RS of Front facing, and working in back lps of Front and in front lps (see Stitch Guide) of Back, join (see Pattern Notes) in first st, sl st in each st across. Fasten off. (74 sl sts)
