Beginner’s Luck Purple Majesty Shawl Design by Bendy Carter

- Design by Bendy Carter

PATTERN NOTES

The shawl is made with a beautiful, unique yarn called Marble Chunky. A machine washable and dryable “marl” yarn, where 1 of each of 2 different shades is spun together as the plies change color along their length. Due to the color-changing effect of the yarn and the darker color chosen, if you are new to slip stitches, you might consider working a practice swatch using a size K hook and a worsted weight, smooth, light-colored yarn in order to become more familiar with the look and feel of the stitches before proceeding with the shawl. The first few rows will curl to the RS of work. When working shawl, this curl is part of the design and forms the rolled collar.
