Mat is worked in horizontal rows from the top down diagonally with a join-as-you-go technique; refer to written pattern and Placement Diagram for joining sequence. Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated. Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first treble crochet unless otherwise stated.
