PATTERN NOTES

Refer to Stitch Diagram as needed. Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Blanket is made from 99 Argemone Motifs and 80 Square Motifs. Rounds of each Argemone Motif are worked using different colors. Refer to Assembly Diagram for colors to use when making Argemone Motifs. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated. Motifs are worked in joined rounds with right side always facing; do not turn unless otherwise stated. Motifs are joined using joinas-you-go technique. Refer to Assembly Diagram for placement of Motifs and order of assembly. Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.

BLANKET FIRST ARGEMONE MOTIF

Rnd 1 (RS): With first color (see Assembly Diagram and Pattern Notes), ch 5, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 5 (counts as dc, ch-2 sp), [dc in ring, ch 2] 7 times, join (see Pattern Notes) in 3rd ch of beg ch5, do not turn (see Pattern Notes). (8 dc, 8 ch-2 sps) Rnd 2: Ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), (dc, picot— see Special Stitches, 2 dc) in first ch-2 sp, (2 dc, picot, 2 dc) in each rem ch-2 sp around, join in top of beg ch-3. Fasten off. Rnds 1–5: Rep rnds 1–5 of First Argemone Motif. Rnd 6 (joining rnd): With RS facing, join 3rd color in any ch-3 sp, (sc, ch 3, sc) in same ch-3 sp, ch 3, sk next ch-2 sp, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next ch-2 sp, ch 3, [(sc, ch-3
