PATTERN NOTES
Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Make 20 Flowers of each color combo with round 1 soft white and rounds 2 and 3 with yellow, pink, blue and orchid petals. THROW FLOWER
Make 80. Rnd 1: With soft white, ch 4, join (see Pattern Notes) in first ch to form a ring ch 3 (see Pat
tern Notes), work 15 dc in ring, join in beg ch-3. Fasten off. (16 dc) Rnd 2: With Flower color (see Pattern Notes), draw up lp in first dc (not beg ch-3), ch 1, (sc, ch 2, sc) in same dc, *ch 1, sk next dc**, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next dc, rep from * around ending last rep at**, join in beg sc. (8 ch-2 sps, 8 ch-1 sps) Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in first sc, * shell
(see Special Stitches) in next ch-2 sp, sc in next sc, sl st in next ch-1 sp**, sc in next sc, rep from * around ending last rep at ** join in beg sc. Fasten off. Draw up a lp of frosty green in first sc to the left of any shell, ch 1, work rnd 4 around first Flower, then beg joining at necessary ch-2 points while working rnd 4. Join from top to bottom and left to right in 10 rows of 8 Flowers. Rnd 4: Sk over sl sts, sc dec
(see Stitch Guide) in first 2 sc, *ch 3, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next tr (center of petal), ch 3, sc dec in next 2 sc, rep from * around ending with ch 3, join to first sc dec. Fasten off. Join at 2 points on row 1 of Flowers. Follow Placement Diagram for color placement of Flowers. When working rnd 4, join points at ch-2 sps at tip of petals. At point of petal, work (sc, ch 1, drop lp, draw lp under to over through opposite ch-2 sp, ch 1, sc) in same ch-2 sp at point of Flower. On rem rows, join at 2 points on first Flower then at 4 on rem.
INSERTS
Work Inserts between Flowers joining between every 2 rows of Flowers.
Rnd 1: With frosty green, ch 4, join to form a ring, ch 1, work 8 sc in ring, join in beg sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, (sc, ch 3, sc) in first sc, [sl st in next sc, ch 3, drop lp, draw lp under to over through sc dec of 1 Flower, ch 3, sl st in same sc**, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next sc], rep between [ ] around ending last rep at ** attaching to next 3 sc dec, sl st in beg sc. Fasten off.
BORDER
Sk over other sts and working in indicated sts only, working in dec sc sts and corner ch-2 sps between Flowers, draw up a lp of
frosty green in ch-2 sp at point of first petal at top left side.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, (sc, ch 3, sc) in same sp, *ch 2, dc picot (see
Special Stitches) in next sc, ch 2, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next ch-2 sp**, ch 2, dc picot in next sc, ch 2, dc dec in next 2 ch-2 sps, rep from * to ** once*, rep from * to * across to last Flower, working around corner, [ch 2, dc picot in next sc, ch 2, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next ch-3 sp] twice, rep side pattern across bottom to next corner Flower, rep side, top and corner patterns around, join last ch-2 to beg sc. Fasten off.
