All Seasons Infinity Scarf
PATTERN NOTES
Scarf is made of alternating wide and narrow bands of V-stitches in Main Color, separated by rows of double crochet in Contrasting Color. Narrow edges are seamed, then a border of double crochet in Contrasting Color is worked around Scarf. Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated. When changing color from Main Color to Contrasting Color, do not cut or fasten off Main Color unless otherwise stated. Carry Main Color along side of piece until needed. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.
SPECIAL STITCH
V-stitch (V-st): (Dc, ch 1, dc) in indicated st or sp.
SCARF
With CC, ch 34. Row 1 (RS): Dc in 4th ch from hook (beg 3 sk chs count as first dc) and in each ch across. Change color (see Stitch Guide) to MC in last st, cut CC, turn. (32 dc) Row 2: Ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), sk next dc, V-st (see Special
Stitch) in next dc, *sk 2 dc, V-st in next dc; rep from * to last 2 sts, sk 1 dc, dc in last dc, turn. (2 dc, 10 V-sts) Row 3: Ch 3, V-st in ch-1 sp of each V-st across, dc in last dc, turn. Rows 4–20: Rep row 3. Change color to CC in last st of last row, turn. Do not cut MC (see Pattern Notes).
Row 21: With CC, ch 3, dc in each dc and ch-1 sp across, turn. (32 dc)
Row 22: Ch 3, dc in each st across, changing color to MC in last st of row, cut CC, turn. Row 23: Rep row 2.
Rows 24–27: Rep row 3. Change to CC in last st of last row, turn. Do not cut MC. Rows 28 & 29: Rep rows 21 and 22. Rows 30–57: Rep rows 2–29. Rows 58–84: Rep rows 2–28. Fasten off MC.
FINISHING
Block lightly to finished width.
Joining row: Hold RS of 2 short sides tog, working through both thicknesses, sl st across, matching each dc of last row with base of corresponding dc of beg row.
Edging
Rotate piece to work down long edge with RS facing. Working in ends of rows, ch 3, work 3 dc in each row around. Join (see Pattern Notes) to 3rd ch of beg ch-3. Fasten off. Join CC to other long edge and work edging as above. Block lightly if needed.
