• Red Heart Unforgetta­ble medium (worsted) weight acrylic yarn (3½oz/ 270 yds/100g per ball): 2 balls #3943 stained glass

• Size L/11/8mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

• Tapestry needle

• Stitch markers: 6

GAUGE

6 ch-6 sps = 5 inches; 5 rows = 5 inches Fan motif rows 1 and 2 = approximat­ely 21/2 inches long

PATTERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Chain-9 at beginning of row counts as double crochet and chain-6 space. Before working row 1 of fan motif, count ahead and place stitch markers in chain-6 spaces where fan motif is to be worked to avoid miscountin­g and misplaceme­nt of motifs.

FRINGE

Cut 164 12-inch lengths of yarn. With 4 strands held tog, fold strands in half and draw through center ch-4 sp of row 1. Rep in rem ch-4 sps. Attach fringe in same manner in each end of odd-numbered rows, matching color to end of row as desired.
