SPECIAL STITCHES
Single crochet shell (sc shell): (Sc, ch 1, sc) in indicated sp.
Shell: (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in indicated st or sp. Beginning half shell (beg half shell): Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in same st as joining. End half shell: 2 dc in same st as beg ch-3, ch 1. Picot: Ch 3, sc in 3rd ch from hook.

Make 1 each color. Rnd 1: Make a slip ring (see
illustration), ch 4 (see Pattern Notes), (dc, ch 1) 7 times in slip ring, join (see Pattern Notes) in 3rd ch of beg ch-4. (8 dc, 8 ch-1 sps) Rnd 2: Sl st in ch-1 sp, ch 1, sc shell (see Special Stitches) in same sp as beg ch-1, ch 1, [sc shell in next ch-1 sp, ch 1] around, join in first sc. (8 sc shells) Rnd 3: Sl st in ch-1 sp of first shell, beg half shell (see Special Stitches and Pattern Notes),
