MATERIALS

• Nazli Gelin Garden size 10 crochet cotton (306 yds/50g per ball): 1 ball each #700-23 turquoise

and #700-04 yellow • Size 1/2.25mm steel crochet hook

or size needed to obtain gauge • Tapestry needle • Stitch marker • 6mm stone or glass beads: 42 white for Large Cover, 26 yellow for Medium Cover and 14 gray for Small Cover

GAUGE 2 strands cotton held tog:

Rnds 1–3 = 2 inches in diameter

PATTERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work progresses. Work with 1 strand each turquoise and yellow held together throughout (excluding Edging). Do not join rounds unless otherwise indicated. Mark round with stitch marker and move up as work progresses. Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

SPECIAL STITCH

Bead chain (bead ch): Slide next bead up next to hook, ch 1 tightly over bead to secure bead.

DISH COVERS

LARGE COVER Rnd 1 (RS): With 2 strands held tog (see Pattern Notes),

form a slip ring (see illustrati­on), ch 1, work 12 hdc in ring, draw loose end tightly to close ring, place marker (see Pattern Notes). (12 hdc)

Rnd 2: 2 hdc in each hdc around. (24 hdc)

Edging

Rnd 1: With turquoise, working in back lp (see Stitch Guide) of sts, ch 1, sc in same st as beg ch-1, [ch 7, sk next 3 sts, sc in next st] around, ending with ch 3, tr in beg sc to position hook in center of last ch-7 sp. (42 ch-7 lps)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same ch sp as beg ch-1, ch 6, [sc in next ch sp, ch 6] around, join in beg sc. Fasten off.

Rnd 3: Thread beads on turquoise cotton, join turquoise in any ch-6 sp, ch 1, sc in same ch sp as beg ch-1, ch 3, bead ch

(see Special Stitch), ch 3, [sc in next ch sp, ch 3, bead ch, ch 3] rep around, join in beg sc. Fasten off.

MEDIUM COVER

Rnds 1–12: Rep rnds 1–12 of Large Cover. At the end of rnd 12, fasten off. (104 hdc)

Edging

Rnd 1: Rep rnd 1 of Edging. (26 ch-7 lps) Rnds 2 & 3: Rep rnds 2 and 3 of Edging.

SMALL COVER

Rnds 1–7: Rep rnds 1–7 of Large Cover. At the end of rnd 7, fasten off. (56 hdc)
