GAUGE

With larger hook: 6 sts = 4 inches; 12 rows = 4 inches in wattle st patterns

SPECIAL STITCHES

Back Cable Cross (BCC): Sk next 3 sts, hdc in next hdc, fptr in next 3 sts, working behind last 4 sts, fptr in 3 sk sts, hdc in next hdc. Front Cable Cross (FCC): Sk next 3 sts, hdc in next hdc, fptr

(see Stitch Guide) in next 3 sts, working in front of last 4 sts, fptr in 3 sk sts, hdc in next hdc.

Wattle stitch (wattle st): (Sc, ch 1, dc) in indicated st or sp. When working into a wattle st, work into the ch-1 sp unless otherwise specified.

With larger hook, ch 1, *work 1 sc into each row end to next corner **, ch 2, sl st across foundation row to corner, ch 2, rep from * to **, ch 2, sl st in each st across, join with a sl st to first st of rnd, fasten off.
