PATTERN NOTES

Throw is worked lengthwise in one piece from right to left side edge.

All snow white rows are worked in either front loop or back

loop (see Stitch Guide), whichever loop is on right side of throw.

Chain-1 at beginning of snow white rows counts as first single crochet.

Chain-1 at beginning of colored rows counts as first slip stitch. Chain-3 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated. Stitch markers simplify the placement of surface posts.

Do not remove markers until instructed. Do be sure to remove any markers you placed for counting purposes that were not indicated in instructions.

When instructed to drop yarn, remove hook and place loop on locking stitch marker until next needed.

When instructed to pick up yarn, remove marker and place loop on hook.

Do not work over yarn changes at beginnings and ends of rows, as the extra bulk tends to expand the edges of throw. Weave yarn tails into slip stitches later with needle, doubling back into woven-in part to help keep ends secure during washing.

Rows with colored yarn are numbered as a subset to the white background row it is worked in (for example, coloredyarn row 9a follows, and is worked in, snow white background row 9). This simplifies counting rows, since the slip stitches carrying the yarn between motifs in the coloredyarn rows are not visible on the right side and are not counted when instructed to work a certain number of rows below.

Join colored yarn with slip stitch in back loop only of first stitch of row.

When working post stitch in base of previous post just made, work it in the lowest yarn over and the base loop next to it at the same time unless otherwise indicated. After working a colored row, work next snow white background row in right-side unworked loops of previous background row to hide colored slip stitches.

To easily place fringe evenly, start at corners, then fold throw in half and place a fringe at fold; fold in half between previously placed fringes and place next fringe. Continue until all fringes have been placed.

Do not draw through last lps on hook until instructed.
