Rows 1–7: Work same as rows 1–7 of Plain Square. (7 blocks)
Row 8: Sl st in first 3 dc, (2 sc, hdc, dc) in each block across to last block, sl st in last ch-3 sp, do not turn.
Edging rnd (RS): Ch 1, 2 sc in same sp as last sl st, [3 sc in next corner st, 3 sc in each block across to next corner] twice, 3 sc in next corner st, sc in each st across last side, join in first sc. (75 sc)
EDGE TRIANGLE Make 14.
Rows 1 & 2: With MC, work same as rows 1 and 2 of Flower Square.
Rows 3–10: Rep row 3 of Flower

Row 11 and edging rnd: Work same as row 8 and edging rnd of Corner Triangle. (96 sc)
ASSEMBLY
Arrange Squares and Triangles as show in Assembly Diagram. Edge Triangles are worked last into top row of Squares. Work a continuous join as follows: With Corner Triangle and Flower Square at top left corner held tog, Square facing and working through both thicknesses in back lps only (back lp of Square and front lp of Triangle), sc
join (see Special Stitches) MC in center sc of first 3-sc corner (see starting point in Assembly
Diagram), sc in each st across to next 3-sc group. Following arrows for joining sequence, join first Edge Triangle to Square, working through center sts of Square and both Triangles. Continue in this manner to join all pieces, ending with Edge Triangles at top of Afghan, join in first sc. Fasten off.
FINISHING Border
Note: In rnd 1, Corner Triangles have 7 V-sts between V-sts at outer corners and inner corners (joining Triangles and Squares); Edge Triangles have 11 V-sts between V-sts at inner corners. Rnd 1: With RS facing, join LC in center sc of any 3-sc corner, ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1), dc in same sp, *{sk next st, [ V-st (see Special Stitches) in next st, sk next 2 sts] across Triangle, sk last st, V-st in next sc joining Triangles (inner
