Rotary golf tournament

The Rotary Club of Cupertino is hosting its 28th Annual Golf Classic Saturday, May 1, at Deep Cliff Golf Course to benefit the Girl Scouts of Northern California, which will receive $15,000 donation.

“Rotary Cupertino and the Girl Scouts of Northern California share a common goal and mission in supporting our youth,” said Padma Chari, committee chair and past president of Cupertino Rotary. “We plan to continue our support to the organization on future needs and volunteering opportunities in our partnership.”

Girl Scouts of North America intends to use Rotary’s donation to remodel the kitchen at Camp Hidden Falls, replacing the refrigeration units and purchasing outdoor cookware. With the damage to their primary location, Camp Skylark, from last year’s CMZ Santa Cruz Mountain fire, the Girl Scouts have had to move their camping activities.

The golf tournament is set to begin at 8:30 a.m.; participants can register at that time. For more information, visit www.cupertinorotary.org.
