CARES Field Day
The Cupertino Amateur Radio Emergency Services (CARES), a group of Fcc-licensed amateur radio volunteers who support the City of Cupertino, will be participating in this year's Amateur Radio Relay League-sponsored Field Day on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. at Memorial Park near the Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road.
Field Day is a national annual event where amateur radio operators, or hams, across the country make as many contacts as possible within a 24-hour period.

Works of art sought
The Cupertino Library Foundation and the Cupertino Library and the Fine Arts League of Cupertino are looking for artists in Santa Clara County to exhibit their work at the library. The foundation has committed resources to help sponsor exhibits on the library's Art Wall, located in the first-floor reading room.
Submissions are open to all artists in Santa Clara County who work in two-dimensional media. There are no age restrictions. Artwork must be original and be related to the “Topic of the Month.” May's topic was “Hope During COVID.”

`Much Ado' at Memorial Park
The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival is staging free performances of “Much Ado About Nothing” July 23-Aug. 7 at the Memorial Park Amphitheater, Stevens Creek Boulevard and Mary Avenue in Cupertino. Performances are Friday-sunday at 6 p.m.
The production marks the 40th anniversary of the festival's Free Shakespeare in the Park program.
