End-of-life care videos

The Chinese American Coalition for Compassionate Care, in collaboration with Mettle Health and an $8,000 grant from the Stupski Foundation, is making available a series of end-of-life care videos that address culturally taboo topics and interventions with the goal of improving end-of-life conversations and outcomes with Chinese American patients, families, family caregivers and the Chinese community at large.

The Cupertino-based coalition has released six videos with Chinese subtitles, featuring BJ Miller, MD, co-founder of Mettle Health; Szu-ning Chen, regional social work manager of On Lok; and the Rev. Grace Song, spiritual support counselor of By the Bay Health. Titles available on Youtube are “Navigating Family Dynamics,” “Hospice and Palliative Care,” “Questions to Ask Doctors,” “The Dying Process,” “Considering Professional Caregivers” and “Advance Care Planning.”

Swinging new store

PGA TOUR Superstore opened its Cupertino location on Dec. 10 at 20600 Homestead Road. The brand's fifth California location features over 1,000 square feet of putting green, six simulators and two hitting bays.

“With over 40 golf courses in the Santa Clara County area, Cupertino has been a market PGA TOUR Superstore has long sought to enter,” reads a press release. “The brand's expansion in California is fueled by the exponential growth of the game to new audiences, especially among women and juniors, nationwide.”

As part of the Cupertino store's grand opening, PGA TOUR Superstore donated $15,000 to First Tee Silicon Valley, a nonprofit that aims to instill life skills in local youth through the game of golf.

In addition to golf merchandise, PGA TOUR Superstore also sells tennis and pickleball equipment and accessories.
