Callaway Hospital announces new partnership
CALLAWAY - Callaway District Hospital and Medical Clinics is pleased to announce a partnership with Senior Life Solutions. Senior Life Solutions will be located inside the Callaway District Hospital and Medical Clinics located at 211 East Kimball Street.
Callaway District Hospital and Medical Clinic’s Senior Life Solutions program is an intensive outpatient group therapy program designed to meet the unique needs of senior adults struggling with symptoms of depression and anxiety, stress from age-related health concerns, or difficult life transitions such as the loss of a loved one.
Individuals may benefit from the Senior Life Solutions program if they are experiencing any of the following common indicators or triggers of depression and anxiety:
• Recently experienced a traumatic event
• Lost a spouse or close family member
• Loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities
• Changes in appetite
• Difficulty sleeping
• Loss of energy
• Feelings of sadness or grief lasting more than two weeks
• Feelings of worthlessness or hopelessness
Following an individual assessment, patients meet up to three times per week in a supportive, encouraging group setting. The program staff includes a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed social workers, a registered nurse, and other healthcare professionals dedicated to the emotional well-being of the seniors in our community.

Referrals to the program can be made by anyone, including a patient’s physician, family member, the patient themself, or another healthcare professional.

CALLAWAY - The construction at the Callaway District Hospital will house the new Senior Life Solutions program.
“It will serve as the home for our new program as well as have dedicated space for our specialty clinic,” hospital CEO Brett Eggleston told the Chief on Monday. “We currently have visiting specialists in Cardiology, Oncology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Podiatry. The dedicated specialty clinic space will allow us to further expand our offerings and meet our goal to provide access to care close to home.”
Eggleston also said the space has been designed to create a treatment area in the event of future outbreaks of infectious illnesses. “Within a matter of a few hours, the clinic can be converted to a negative airflow which is commonly required for treatment of infectious illnesses,” he said. “The new space will also create business office space as well as space for future expansion of services.”
