Beverly Ann Wilken, 74, of Norton, Kan. passed away March 17, 2021 at the Norton County Hospital.

She was born Sept. 30, 1946 in Ansley, Neb. to Kenneth and Ethelyn (Pirnie) Sadler.

Beverly grew up in Ansley and graduated from Ansley High School in 1965. She went on to attend Kearney State College and then went to radio school in Falls City.

Beverly married Dennis Wilken on Sept. 20, 1980 in Ansley.

She worked for Charles and Daisy Worden Jewelry Store and then for years at the First Security Bank in Norton. Beverly then went to work at Halls Clothing Store in Norton for 19 years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, doing needlepoin­t and watching HGTV and Wheel of Fortune. Beverly was a member of the Norton Christian Church and the IF:Gathering Women’s Group. She also coordinate­d the funeral dinners at the church for many years.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Ethelyn Sadler. She is survived by her husband Dennis Wilken of Norton, Kan.; brothers-in-law James (Dorothy) Wilken of Edinburg, Texas and Mike (Roslyn) Wilken of Enid, Okla.; sisters-in-law Cheryl Nelson of Bertrand, Neb.and Diane Deselms of Cambridge, Neb.; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 23 at Norton Christian Church. Visitation was Monday, March 22 at the church. Burial was Wednesday, March 24 at Liberty Cemetery in Custer County, Neb.
