VILLAGE OF MERNA MINUTE RECORD August 10, 2021

A meeting of the Chairman and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Merna, NE, was convened in open and public session according to the Open Meetings Act at 7:37 p.m. in the Village office. Present were James Markham , Allen Williams, Justin Potter, Brian Morse, and Kelly Duryea. Absent was Adam Koinzan.

Motion by J. Potter and seconded by B. Morse to approve of the July 13, 2021 Minutes. Roll Call was called for vote.

Ayes: A. Williams, J. Potter, and B. Morse

Nays: None Abstain: J. Markham Absent: A. Koinzan Motion Carried Motion by B. Morse and seconded by A. Williams to Approve Municipal Annual Certification of Program Compliance to Nebraska Board of Public Roads Classifications and Standards and adopt Resolution # 810-2021.

Ayes: A. Williams, B. Morse, J. Potter and J. Markham

Nays: None

Absent: A. Koinzan Motion Carried Discussion on armor coating bids from Heinz Construction and Figgins. Heinz was $1.60 a sq yd and Figgins was $1.85. A couple places around town will need to be ground out and replaced.

Motion by B. Morse and seconded by J. Potter to accept bid from Heinz construction to do $100,000 worth of Armor Coat and patching on the village streets.

Ayes: A. Williams, B. Morse, J. Potter and J. Markham

Nays: None

Absent: A. Koinzan Motion Carried Information was given to Board Members regarding the funds from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA).

Maintenance Report was given by Brian Morse.

Clerks report was given by Kelly Duryea.

No Ambulance report was given, as no run sheets came in.

A motion to adjourn at 7:54 p.m. was made B. Morse and seconded by J. Potter. The next board meeting will be September 14th, 2021 at 7:30 P.M. An agenda for the meeting, kept continually current, is available at the Village Office, during normal business hours.
