Bill Barrow, 81, formerly of Broken Bow, Neb., passed away March 15, 2023, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell.

Bill Loyd Barrow was born Sept. 23, 1941, in Cloverdale, Ore., to Frank and Martha (Brownell) Barrow. Bill graduated from High School in Nampa, Idaho.

After graduation,

Bill joined the Army in September of 1959. Serving his country, he was honorable discharged in September of 1962.

After the Army, Bill moved to northern Maine where he met and married Bonnie Haynes and where their daughter, Paula, was born.

The couple lived in Boulder, Colo., then moved to the Sandhills of Nebraska in 1974. In 1976, they moved to Broken Bow where Timothy was born. The couple later divorced.

In 1992, Bill married Karen (Loper) Miller.

Bill worked at Palmer Monument and later Pizza Hut and then helped Karen with the daycare plus repaired bicycles. Bill’s hobbies where hunting and fishing.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Martha; and sister Dorothy Benjamin.

He is survived by his wife Karen of Burwell; children Paula (James) Hakes of Shippensbu­rg, Pa., Tim (Andrea) Barrow of Broken Bow, Steve (Lynn) Miller of Texas, Keith (Janelle) Miller of Stevensvil­le, Texas, Marty (Carrie) Miller of Ord and Will (Jamie) Miller of Springview; numerous grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren; and siblings George Barrow of Oregon, Mary Roach of Washington and Ted Barrow of Georgia.

Graveside services with Military Honors were Tuesday, March 21, at 1:00 .p.m at the Broken Bow Cemetery. Visitation was Monday, March 20 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
