Art by Litchfield students qualifies for state competition
Eleven works of art created by Litchfield High School students are state bound! The works will represent Litchfield at the State Visual Art Competition (Scholastics) in Omaha for the month of March.
Five professional artists judge each work on a rubric. Qualifying for this show puts these students in the same prestigious group as Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, Truman Capote and Zac Posen.
Four “Gold Keys” were awarded to the students. Gold Key is the most prestigious award given to high school students in the state of Nebraska.
Gracie Ritchie received two Gold Keys. Wesley Fowler and Diana Gentry each received one.
