While there are endless romantic dining options available throughout Southern California to treat your sweetie to this Valentine's Day, why not celebrate the day of love — or boycott it altogether and just hang with friends — at a concert, variety show or stand-up comedy performance?

Whether you're looking to sing along to love-filled R&B classics with your significant other or enjoy your single status at a drag show, there are plenty of options for both Valentine's weekend and Valentine's Day on Tuesday.

Here are seven options for celebrating the holiday. Advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended.

The Righteous Brothers

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame duo will bring their biggest hits to the stage, including “You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin',” “Unchained Melody” “Soul & Inspiration” and founding member Bill Medley's Grammywinning “Dirty Dancing”-themed song, “The Time of My Life.” 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa. Ramón Ayala

You can join norteño accordion king Ayala for his Una Noche Romantica Con Ramón Ayala show on Valentine's Day in Anaheim. Tickets start at $65 at livenation.com.

Swift Me Away

Those freshly in love or looking to get over an ex can unite this Valentine's Day at Swift Me Away, an unofficial Taylor Swift-themed dance party. Tickets start at $20 at livenation.com.

Jacquees

The 28-year-old R&B star's Valentine's show comes in support of his newest record, “Sincerely for You,” with tracks like “Say Yea” and “Tell Me It's Over” as staples of the sensual, romantic energy he brings to the ever-evolving genre. 8 p.m. Tuesday at The Novo, 800 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles. Tickets start at $30 at axs.com.

Tickets start at $20 at seetickets.us.

`The Love Café' with Muni Long

The three-time, Grammy-nominated R&B star hosted a Valentine's Day show last year and she's back at it. “We had so much fun last year so we're doing it again,” she shared on her official Instagram account.
