Five South Bay area basketball teams won their games Thursday and still have their sights set on a CIF State championsh­ip. Here is a look at the matchups for the local teams today in the CIF SoCal Regional semifinals: All games start at 7p.m. BOYS BASKETBALL Division I

No. 3 Sierra Canyon (22-10) at No. 2 Bishop Montgomery (28-4) Outlook:

Division IV

No. 7 San Pedro (20-11) at No. 3 St. Bonaventur­e (25-9)

Outlook: The Seraphs lost to Valencia in the CIF-SS Division 4AA final. They've opened the regional with wins over Eagle Rock (6943) and Victory Christian Academy (59-48). Dylan Benner (16.9 points and 9.8 rebounds) leads the way for the Seraphs. Anthony Hrboka leads the Pirates. His stat line from Thursday's 93-71 win over

Blair was impressive: 26 points, six assists, four rebounds and four assists. Laron Tunupopo had 17 rebounds. Zach Saavedra and Achilleas Papadopoul­os had 14 and 13 points, respective­ly.

The Stallions lost in the CIF-Southern Section Division 2AA semifinals. In the regional, they've defeated Mater Dei Catholic (60-49) and La Salle (48-34). LaSalle won the 2AA championsh­ip. Aryanna Hudson led the Stallions with 17 points in Thursday's win over LaSalle. The Stallions have four players averaging at least 10points a game, led by Anna Shreeve (15 points per game). The Olympians defeated Village Christian 41-38 Thursday. The teams met in the 2A semifinal and Leuzinger won 70-52. In CIF-Southern Section Open Division pool play, the Knights edged the Trailblaze­rs 51-49in a packed gym that included Lakers star LeBron James, at Bishop Montgomery. Christian Jones hit a late 3-pointer that proved to be the deciding basket. Sierra Canyon dropped to Division I for the regional playoffs and has wins over Taft (84-47) and Etiwanda (61-55). Sierra Canyon's Justin Pippen and Isaiah Elohim didn't play against Etiwanda. The Knights have regrouped after failing to reach the CIF-SS Open Division final. They have recorded wins over Torrey Pines (81-53) and Rancho Christian (68-60) in the state playoffs. Will Smith led the Knights with 22 points Thursday against Rancho Christian. Xavier Edmonds scored 24 points in the Knights' first meeting against Sierra Canyon. The gym will again be packed, but who will make the big play this time?

In the regional, they've recorded consecutiv­e upsets over No. 6 Tehachapi (71-60) and No. 3Cathedral Catholic (60-51OT). The Mariners lost to Oak Park in the Division 5A championsh­ip. In the regional, they've recorded wins over Mar Vista (6534) and Vaughn (44-39). Sydney Ghobrial (16.0 points) and Kaya Ghobrial (14.5 points) lead the Mariners' offense. The Pirates have defeated Riverside Prep (56-41) and Laguna Beach (62-43) in the state playoffs. Noelani Raigans led the Pirates with 23 points in Thursday's win over Laguna Beach. Maia Wooldridge and Shalia Coleman finished with 18 and 11 points, respective­ly.
