No. 8 Arizona holds off Utah in triple OT

Pelle Larsson had 27 points and eight assists to lead No. 8 Arizona to a 105-99 victory over host Utah in triple overtime Thursday night.

Caleb Love added 19 points and 10 rebounds to help the Wildcats (18-5, 9-3 Pac-12) earn their third road win in conference play. Keshad Johnson chipped in with 17 points and Kylan Boswell added 16. Oumar Ballo grabbed 16 rebounds to go with 10 points.

Branden Carlson led Utah with 27 points and 15 rebounds. Keba Keita had 18 points and Gabe Madsen added 17. Deivon Smith finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for the Utes.

Utah (15-8, 6-6) could not overcome a 10-of-21 performanc­e from the free-throw line after rallying from a double-digit deficit.

Arizona was outrebound­ed 5753 but outscored Utah 52-48 in the paint. ALABAMA-BIRMINGHAM 76, NO. 20 FLORIDA ATLANTIC 73 (OT) >> Yaxel Lendeborg had 17 points and a season-high 21 rebounds, and Efrem Johnson (14 points) made a big 3-pointer in overtime to lift the host Blazers to an upset of the Owls.

With Florida Atlantic missing its first six shots in overtime, UAB (15-8, 6-4 AAC) surged to a six-point lead.

Johnell Davis scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Owls (18-5, 8-2).

Clark had 27 points as No. 2 Iowa defeated visiting Penn State 11193.

Clark now has 3,489 career points, moving within 38 points of NCAA women's basketball career scoring leader Kelsey Plum.

Clark, who was 8 of 23 from the field, had 15 assists to record her 56th career double-double, but also committed a career-high 12 turnovers.

But Clark was getting the ball to Stuelke, with 11 assists on her 17 field goals. Stuelke had the second-highest scoring game in program history, hitting 17 of 20 shots and going 13 of 21 from the free-throw line.

Iowa (22-2, 11-1 Big Ten) won its fourth consecutiv­e game to stay tied with No. 5 Ohio State, a 71-47 winner over Minnesota, at the top of the conference standings.

Ashley Owusu led Penn State (16-7, 7-5) with 18 points.

NO. 16 VIRGINIA TECH 72, NO. 3 NORTH CAROLINA STATE 61 >> Elizabeth Kitley had 25 points and 13 rebounds while the visiting Hokies hit 11 3-pointers to beat the Wolfpack.

Georgia Amoore had 12 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds for reigning league champion Virginia Tech (19-4, 10-2 ACC), which earned a fourth straight win against N.C. State (20-3, 8-3).

Madison Hayes scored 20 points and Azaiah James added 17 for North Carolina State.

NO. 15 LOUISVILLE 73, NO. 12 NOTRE DAME 66 >> Nyla Harris had 19 points and 10 rebounds, Sydney Taylor added 13 points including a key 3-pointer in the fourth quarter and the host Cardinals held off the Fighting Irish (17-5, 7-4 ACC) to spoil Hannah Hidalgo's 30-point performanc­e.

Louisille (20-4, 9-2) led throughout but Hidalgo, the ACC's leading scorer, kept it close by dropping 22 points in the second half after a cold start. The program announced the status of the 6-foot Jah about 40 minutes before the top-ranked Gamecocks (22-0, 10-0 SEC) routed Missouri 83-45 on Thursday night.

There were no other details of Jah's suspension.

Jah has appeared in 16 games this season, averaging three points and two rebounds in about nine minutes per appearance.
