ANGELS-DODGERS GAME REPORT
THE GAME: The Angels beat the Dodgers, 4-0, on Tuesday night at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz., winning their sixth consecutive Cactus League game. The Dodgers went into the game leading MLB in nearly every offensive stat in spring play but managed just seven hits.
Angels righthander Chase Silseth did not allow a run in 2 1/3 innings. He had been scheduled for three innings, but his pitch count got too high after 26 pitches in the first . ... Right-hander Victor Mederos worked three scoreless innings. He hasn't allowed a run in six innings this spring, with nine strikeouts and two walks . ... Dodgers right-hander Bobby Miller pitched three scoreless innings in his second spring start.
The Angels' Mike Trout singled and walked. He also stole his first base of the spring. Trout is 3 for 18with eight strikeouts and one walk this spring . ... Six of the Dodgers' hits were singles. Jason Heyward had two. Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Austin Gauthier and Chris Okey had one each. Drew Avans had a double. Shohei Ohtani had reached base in seven consecutive plate appearances before going 0 for 3 with a pair of strikeouts against his former team.
Silseth bounced a pickoff throw to first base and the ball got past Schanuel, allowing Betts to advance to second.
