Diddy's lawyer alleges use of `military-level force'

-

Sean “Diddy” Combs' lawyer said Tuesday that the searches of his Los Angeles and Miami properties by federal authorities in a sex-trafficking investigation were ”a gross use of militarylevel force” and that Combs is “innocent and will continue to fight” to clear his name. Combs

It's the first public statement from the music mogul's team since Monday's raids by Homeland Security Investigations agents in a probe being run by federal authorities in New York. “Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs' residences,” said the statement from attorney Aaron Dyer. “There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.” The criminal investigation is a major escalation in the scrutiny of Combs, who has been the defendant in several sexual abuse lawsuits in recent months.

It is not clear whether the search is related to any of the allegations raised in the lawsuits.

“Given the pain I felt while trying to get pregnant, it would've felt disingenuous to post something all the way happy when I know the story is much more nuanced than that Hathaway for everyone,” the star said. Hathaway went on to reveal that she had a miscarriage in 2015 during the run of her one-woman off-Broadway show, “Grounded,” in which the character she played had “to give birth onstage every night” during her six-week run.

Schwarzenegger gets a pacemaker after surgeries Arnold Schwarzenegger said this week he had a pacemaker installed following three openheart surgeries.

The 76-year-old action star revealed the surprise health news on an episode of his “Arnold's Pump Club” podcast.

“Last Monday, I had surgery to become a little bit more of a machine: I got a pacemaker,” the “Terminator” star announced.

“First of all, I want you to know I'm doing great! ... I want to thank my whole team at the Cleveland Clinic.”

He explained he had the pacemaker installed shortly after a checkup this month in which his doctor said he'd need it if he wanted to be healthy enough to act in upcoming projects.

He also advised listeners, “If you're putting something off out of fear, I hope I inspire you to listen to your doctors and take care of yourself.”
