Palos Verdes' Farnsworth is 4A Player of the Year
Palos Verdes' Maddie Farnsworth led the Sea Kings to the CIF-SS Division 4A championship.
Palos Verdes sophomore Maddie Farnsworth was selected the CIF Southern Section Division 4A girls basketball player of the year.
Farnsworth, who also was a first-team Daily Breeze selection and All-Bay League pick, led the Sea Kings to the championship game, defeating Eastside 57-46 in the final.
Palos Verdes' Daniel Rho was chosen the Division 4A coach of the year. Palos Verdes finished the season with a 24-8 record.
Palos Verdes freshmen Quinn Tamashiro and Katie Golden were Division 4A first team selections.
Bishop Montgomery's Jordin
Blackmon earned Open Division first-team honors. Blackmon, a junior who was selected the Daily Breeze player of the year, helped the Knights win a CIF State championship.

L.A. City Section honors
Banning's Melony Bernabe (Division III) and Gardena's Lauren Tobin-Williams (Division IV) were selected L.A. City Section players of the year in their divisions.
Bernabe led the Pilots to the City Division III championship.
Tobin-Williams led the Panthers to the Division IV championship.
Banning coach Bridgett Conejo (Division III) and Gardena coach Tracey McNeil (Division IV) received coach of the year honors.
Banning's Alina Argueta and Tavanna Price were Division III All-City selections and Gardena's India Session and India Cage were Division IV selections.
Carson's Madison Wheeler was a Division II selection and the Westchester trio of Mariah Blake, Savannah Myles and Serenity Johnson were honored in the Open Division.
