Washington propels Mavs past Warriors

P.J. Washington capped his best game in Dallas with a tiebreakin­g layup with 4.5 seconds remaining as Luka Doncic watched because of a sore knee, and the host Mavericks beat Golden State 108-106 on Friday night to end the Warriors' six-game winning streak.

Washington finished with 32 points and Kyrie Irving had 26.

Dallas solidified its hold on fifth place in the Western Conference and is two games clear of seventh in pursuit of one of the six guaranteed playoff spots.

Stephen Curry scored 28 points, but Golden State missed a chance to clinch a postseason spot as a play-in team.

PACERS 126, THUNDER 112 >> Pascal Siakam scored 21 points, Aaron Nesmith had 17 and host Indiana beat Oklahoma City for its ninth victory in 14 games. Tyrese Haliburton was held to eight points, but had 11 assists. With his 11th assist Haliburton broke the Pacers' single-season record of 713 set by Mark Jackson in the 1997-98.

Lu Dort led Oklahoma City with 22 points. Fighting for the top spot in the Western Conference, the Thunder were without injured All-Star Shai GilgeousAl­exander and second-leading scorer Jalen Williams.

SUNS 97, TIMBERWOLV­ES 87 >> Grayson Allen scored 23 points, Kevin Durant had 22 and host Phoenix raced to a 15-0 lead in a victory over Minnesota. Bradley Beal had 14 points for the Suns, who have won four straight home games.

Phoenix (46-31) held on to the No. 6 position in the Western Conference. Minnesota (53-24) is tied with Denver for the best record in the West.

The Wolves' Anthony Edwards finished with 17 points.

CELTICS 101, KINGS 100 >> Payton Pritchard had 21 points, including five 3-pointers and host Boston held off a late charge to beat Sacramento. Kristaps Porzingis added 20 points and 11 rebounds to help the NBA's top team claim its 12th consecutiv­e win at home.

De'Aaron Fox had 40 points for the Kings.
